Troubleshooting Citrix file Permission issues

Whenever you want to save a file to your computer or perform a data extract, Toolbox needs to have a certain level of permission to access the file system on your computer.  This is called “Read and Write Access.” If you’re having trouble saving a file to your computer, this is frequently the first place to look.

To see if Toolbox has the necessary level of Write Permissions, you’ll first need to make sure that you have launched Toolbox.  This will ensure that Citrix (the application ensures your data is encrypted when passing between your computer and the NUWS servers) is also launched.  Once this is done, look in the system tray (lower left corner of your Windows computer) to find the icon that looks like this:

Next, right-click the icon and click on the menu item that says “Open Connection Center

When the new window opens, click the button in the right column that says “File Security”

Click OK and try saving the report to your computer again.
