Tips on cleaning up a person record

Deleting duplicates notes, old relationships, etc

It may become necessary to clean up some of the information associated with a person record in Toolbox.

If for example, you realize that a duplicate note has been entered for a person record and want to delete that note, you would do the following:

1. Go to the General tab.

2. Select the note that you want to delete, by clicking into the row next to the note that needs to be deleted

3. Once the note is selected, hit the delete key on your keyboard

4. You’ll be prompted to accept the following message

5. Select Yes and the selected note will be deleted.

You can use this to clean up other information. For example, if you need to delete a person relationship, you would do the same.

Go to the Relationships tab, select the relationship that you want deleted, and using your delete key, remove said relationship.

Other fields that can be deleted include Organizations, Availability and Lists.

Please do note that once information has been removed from a person’s record that it is permanently deleted and that there is no un-do function. Please be certain that you are moving the correct information before doing so.
