The Staff Module replaces the Organizer Module and adds increased functionality for managing different types of Organizing Staff. You can access the Staff Module in two ways, from the Modules drop-down list
or from the Modules list on the Dashboard.
When you first open the Staff Module you’ll see a dashboard summary of all the staff associated with the Project.
I’ll break down the details of each pane in the following section.
Staff summary Pane This pane shows all the staff in the database and whether they have Roles within the Project.
Staff Contact Pane Pretty self-evident, phone and email info for staff in one place
In-Project Poles This pane shows the different types of Organizing Roles associated with the Project and the checkboxes indicate wether the staff person has that Role for this Project.
The middle column shows how many people are in the Organizer’s Turf, and the last column shows which Organizing Team that staff person belongs too. Checking or un-checking one of the Project Role boxes in this pane will allow that staff person to be assigned Turf.
The last pane on this page is the Out-of-Project Roles pane.
This is merely an informational section and you cannot make any modifications to a person’s Organizing Role from this section. (In order to edit a person’s Role you must be in the Project in which their Role was set-up and maintained.) The first column shows any other Project in which in that staff has a Role and what that Role is within that Project, while the second column shows the name of the Team and the number of workers in their Turf in the other Project.
Adding a new Staff person to the Project
To add a new staff person, just click the small green “+” at the bottom of the form.
An “Add Staff” Form will appear.
Fill out as much information as you want and and click the “Add Staff” button. You’ll see the new staff person appear in the Staff List. You can now assign the new staff person a Role in the Project, which will allow you to assign them Turf in the Project Roles Manager.
