The Elections Module in Toolbox is used by unions for NLRB and other types of Labor elections to accurately and effectively perform a Get Out the Vote (GOTV) campaign. If an Election has already been set up in a project and you click on the Labor Elections tab in the Person Module, you will see something that looks like this:
A new Election must be set up in the Elections Module. You can access it by clicking the Modules button at the top of the toolbar and scrolling to “Elections.”

When the Elections Module opens you’ll see the last election created. The form has three main sections:
Finally, the Results sections allows you to record the results of the election after it’s finished for future reference.
To set up a new Election click the “+” on the left side of the form

When the new form opens click the New Election button:

Type in the name of the election you’d like to set up and hit OK. The new election will be created and linked to the project you are working in:

Now you can add details to the election. First, add the election locations by clicking the “Add” button under the Election Locations section and filling out the new form.

Next, add the Election Times by clicking the “Add” button under the Election times section and filling out the form. This can be as detailed as you desired.

When you have added as many locations and times as appropriate for you election you’ll see the details in the form

Now you’re ready to start using the new election you’ve just set up to track GOTV details for each worker in your campaign. open the Person Module and click on the Labor Elections tab (where you’ll see the new election) and start filling in details for each worker. Select the location

time period

and any other details needed to effectively run a GOTV. Once you’re entered all the details for the workers in you can choose from one of several reports to run a winning GOTV!
