This article will help you understand how to change and clear filters.
In this example, we will show you how to create of a filter for City of East Ogonquin- housing Department. We will then walk you through adding a second criteria to the filter. Next, we’ll show you how to clear one criteria of the filter. Finally, we’ll show you how to clear all criteria for a filter.
1. At the bottom of the person form click on the button that says “Filter”
2. Find the folder that says “Jobs”
3. Find the link that says “Department”
4. When the filter form appears place your cursor in the empty box and type the first few letters of the employer department. The filter will automatically bring up those departments that meet the criteria. Click the item that says “Cit of East Ogonquin: Housing Department
Click OK.
5. click “done” at the bottom of the form
If you would like to add a second criteria to the filter, such as Workers assessed as leaders take the following steps:
1. Click the “Filter” button at the bottom of the person form
2. You’ll notice in the summary pane that the City of East Ogonquin: Housing Department is already selected
3. Click the “Assessments” folder.
4. Click on the “Response” link
5. Double click the item “Card Sign: 1-Leader.” It will be moved to the right-hand pane.
6. Click OK at the bottom of the form
7. Click “done” at the bottom of that form. You’ll notice in the left “Summary” pane the two items you have selected for this filter.
8. Immediately below the Summary pane you’ll notice two buttons. One says “Generate” and one says “View.” Clicking on “Generate” will run the query and find the records that match the filter criteria, while clicking “View” will allow you to see a snapshot of the people who meet the filter criteria
9. click “Done” at the bottom right of the form
To clear the assessment but keep the Housing Department follow these steps:
1. click the “Filter” button at the bottom of the form
2. Click the item “Assessments” in the left Summary pane
3. Click the button that says Clear Page”
4. Click done
5. You’re now back to the original 64 people who work for the City of East Ogonquin
To completely clear the filter to see everyone in the project you can merely click on the “X” next to the filter button which will clear all filter criteria.
