When adding a new person record to a project in Organizer’s Toolbox, it is important to know what the project definition is, to ensure to that the newly added record is a part of the project.
For example, if you want to add a new person to the project entitled MGH All in unit. After opening the project, you would View the project definition, by navigating to the Project section, found on the left side of the screen.
Upon hitting the View button, the MGH All in unit project definition will come up. The section to pay attention in this case, will be the People definition, seen here:
From here, you can see that in order for a person record to be a part of this project, they need to be given a job at the employer Mercy General Hospital and that the position needs to be In Unit.
Next, you’ll open up the People Module. To add a new person, you would select the add new person button, found above the Find button (bottom left side of the screen)
When you add the new person, you will be moved to New People section
Now, in order to get the newly added Prince Charming to show up in the MGH in unit project, you’ll want to give him the necessary project details. In this case, you’ll need to add to give him a job at Mercy General Hospital, and ensure that the job remains In Unit.
After adding the necessary job details, switch back to Project People. You final step will be to hit the Requery button, found on the toolbar at the top of the screen.
Requerying the project will bring in any new records that meet the project definition.
A quick check indicates that Prince Charming can now be found in the Project People listing.
